Gander is the last of the three accessible cottages which make up the Farm’s Clocktower building. From Ruskway Lane, after you pass through the automatic electric gates, there is a 200-metre driveway which leads to the clocktower building on your left and the cottages’ car park on your right.
Gander is accessed via a sandstone front patio from the car park, or over the reinforced grass front lawn. The cottage benefits from an 89cm wide two-part stable style front door. The upper part is partially glazed and the lower is full timber. Both the car park and the approach to the front door are served by motion activated security lights.
Gander’s front door leads into the cottage’s open plan kitchen / sitting room. The cottage is wheelchair friendly and step free throughout. The floors are all solid light oak, except in the wet room which benefits from non-slip Altro flooring. We can lend guests a walking frame if needed. Gander has an electric riser/recliner armchair.
Doors to the bedroom and ensuite wet room are made of waxed light oak and are 81 centimetres wide.
Electrical sockets are set at a height of 50cm.
Light switches are set at a height of 110cm.
Kitchen Windowsill is set at a height of 81cm.
The fitted kitchen work top is set at a height of 91cm.
The following are fitted beneath the work top: storage cupboards and drawers, washer/dryer, dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, freezer.
The following are located at work top level: butler’s sink with easy turn lever mixer tap, four ring glass induction hob, microwave oven, electric toaster and electric kettle.
There is a rectangular dining table with a height of 76cm.
The seat height of the two dining chairs is 45cm.
The seat height of the two-seater leather sofa is 50cm.
The seat height of the leather riser/recliner is 43cm.
There is a nesting set of three light oak coffee tables. The tallest is 52 cm high.
There is a wall mounted electric heater, flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player. All can be operated by remote control.
